Graining & Marbling
When Faux Works Better than Real
Sometimes budgetary or structural demands require the use of a material that does not match aesthetic taste; or existing surfaces just do not match your vision. The why does not matter, as long as you know that Minnihan Painting can make material and vision align.
Graining or Faux Bois is the craft of replicating a wood surface using paint and glazes. Marbling is similar, in replicating rock and precious stones. Trompe L’oeil means “fool the eye” and involves creating the illusion of three-dimensional space on a flat wall. Minnihan Painting excels in all of these crafts.
“Our experience was great with you and your team! I feel like they have become members of the family. I loved that they always checked things out with me. They did an extremely professional job.”
