In early 2011, Joel Berman of Joel Berman Architecture & Design referred Minnihan Painting to work on the renovation of one of Chicago’s oldest White Castle buildings, currently occupied by Chef Luciano & Gourmet Chicken.

It was quite a change of pace from the high end interiors we usually work in!

We were presented with the challenge of actually restoring portions of old crumbling ceramic brick to look like new. Working under a tight deadline and in the dead of winter with snow on the ground, we developed a painting technique to simulate handmade qualities and colors of the bricks originally installed in 1929.

The city inspectors and Chef Luciano were ecstatic about the results!

We have the expertise with exacting standards you need to bring your design to life.

For the job that needs that special care to restore and extend the walls you love for years to come, Minnihan Painting brings an attention to detail and the commitment to excellence that your job deserves.
